Hauppauge, NY – Samson, an industry leader in microphone technology, is pleased to announce its DK Series Drum Microphone Kits. Offering three unique configurations (3, 5, 7-piece), the DK700 Series produces exceptional sounding drums in live and studio recording settings.
The DK Series features three distinct microphone models, the Q71 Kick Drum Microphone, Q72 Instrument Microphone and C02 Pencil Condenser Microphone. The Q71 Kick Drum Microphone features a powerful low frequency response and is voiced to capture the full essence of your kick drum. It’s equipped with a swivel-style mic stand adapter for maximum compatibility with your existing accessories. The Q72 Instrument Microphone can be used on both snares and toms. It handles exceptionally high SPLs with a frequency response tailored to reproduce the natural tone and attack of your drums. The Q72 features a swivel-style mic stand adapter, as well as a removable tension-mounted rim clip for optimal mic placement that won’t affect performance. The C02 Pencil Condenser Microphone is ideal for overhead miking your entire drum set, and also comes with a shock-mounted swivel-style mic stand adapter.
The DK703 3-Piece Drum Mic Kit features three Q72s, while the DK705 5-Piece Drum Mic Kit offers one Q71 and four Q72s. Lastly, the DK707 7-Piece Drum Mic Kit includes one Q71, four Q72s and two C02s. All of the DK Series Drum Mic Kits come with a deluxe hard shell carry case to protect your microphones, as well as provide convenient storage and portability.
